The Past is a Foreign Country

 And reading my old blog after almost 16 years brings home how foreign.

I'm a senior citizen now with grown children looking forward to retirement, and maybe enough money for my wife and I to enjoy some vacations as empty nesters. Heck, just dining together on a weeknight enjoying a beer is pretty good. 

There's still the corruption and dysfunction of US politics to keep my blood pressure up, and there's beer in the fridge. Maybe I will do some blogging from time to time to improve my writing, and see if this might be a small retirement gig.
